Dog With Diarrhoea

My 1-month-old puppy has watery diarrhoea, what can I do? What food is best to give when there is diarrhoea?

Diarrhoea in such a young pup is very concerning. You really do need to speak directly with a veterinarian to determine the exact cause and a treatment strategy.

Our vets will ask what your worming program is, what you feed and how much and whether the pup is still on the mother or not. At this stage of life the pup should be started on some puppy biscuits. The concern is that there may be an infection, a bad parasite or a problem with the food. We really need to ask more questions to determine the appropriate treatments.
